Generational confrontation

The most innovative artist of the 20th century, the inventor of the ready-made
and Damoclès born in 1966

Marcel Duchamp
“Everything one does is, in a certain way, contained in a small suitcase.”
Marcel Duchamp, Boîte‑en‑valise, Paris, 1941— the artist’s “portable museum.”
In a portable, fold‑out case, Marcel Duchamp assembled his major works — a photograph of Nude Descending a Staircase, a miniature of Fountain… an invitation to the collector to set off for the ends of the earth with the artist’s ideal museum.^>
Damoclès and his “Kentins voyageurs”

“Kentins voyageurs” in their matching cases
Damoclès renews the concept of the “take‑away artwork,” as the inventor of the “Kentins” — robotic personae housed in made‑to‑measure cases designed with the renowned trunk‑maker Pinel et Pinel.
Damoclès is exacting in every detail. He works with meticulously selected materials, hand‑assembled to create original works produced in editions of 8.
Damoclès’s “Kentins voyageurs,” like Marcel Duchamp’s Valise, reflect the artist’s personality. Where Duchamp invites us on a journey with his ideal museum contained within his Valise, Damoclès draws us into his playful, mechanical world toward a futuristic horizon.
Damoclès, an artist of generous heart
He donates the proceeds from each work sold to his charity
of the Bunker Damoclès Association, created to help the most vulnerable secure food and housing while fostering their professional reintegration.
